Sign Up Options
Feedtracks offers two ways to create an account:
Option 1: Magic Link (Email)
No password required - just enter your email and click the link we send you.
Steps:
- Go to feedtracks.com/login
- Enter your email address
- Click Send Magic Link
- Check your inbox for an email from noreply@feedtracks.com
- Click the link in the email (valid for 15 minutes)
- You’re automatically logged in!
Benefits:
- No password to remember
- More secure than traditional passwords
- Works across all devices
Magic link format:
https://feedtracks.com/login/magic?context=login#{token}
The token is unique and expires after 15 minutes for security.
Option 2: Sign in with Google
Use your existing Google account for instant access.
Steps:
- Go to feedtracks.com/login
- Click Sign in with Google
- Choose your Google account
- Grant Feedtracks permission to access your basic profile
- You’re logged in!
What we access:
- Name (to personalize your profile)
- Email address (for account identification)
- Profile picture (optional, displayed in comments)
Note: We never access your Google Drive files or other Google services.
Guest vs. Registered Accounts
Starting as a Guest
If you visit Feedtracks without logging in, you’ll automatically get a guest profile:
- ✅ Can listen to shared tracks
- ✅ Can leave comments on shared content
- ✅ Limited storage (no uploads)
- ❌ Cannot create drives or folders
- ❌ Cannot upload your own tracks
Guest profiles are temporary and perfect for:
- Clients reviewing demos
- One-time collaborators
- Evaluating Feedtracks before signing up
Converting Guest to Registered
When you sign up after using Feedtracks as a guest, your data automatically migrates:
- All your guest comments transfer to your new account
- Access to shared drives you were invited to is preserved
- Your listening history carries over
- Notifications and preferences migrate
No data loss - everything you did as a guest remains under your new account.
Account Linking
Google OAuth Linking
If you create an account with email first, you can link Google OAuth later:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Click Link Google Account
- Sign in with Google
- Your Google profile is now linked
Benefits:
- Login with either magic link or Google
- Single account, multiple login methods
- Easier access across devices
Multiple Email Addresses
Important: One account per email address. If you need to:
- Change your email: Go to Settings → Account → Change Email
- Use multiple emails: Create separate accounts (not recommended for collaboration)
Initial Setup After Sign Up
Step 1: Complete Your Profile
After first login, you’ll be prompted to:
-
Choose a username (appears in comments, @ mentions)
- 3-20 characters
- Letters, numbers, underscores only

- JPG, PNG, or GIF
- Max 5 MB
- Shown in comments and collaborator lists
-

Troubleshooting
Magic link not arriving
Cause: Email filtering or slow delivery
Solutions:
- Check spam/junk folder
- Wait 2-3 minutes (sometimes delayed)
- Add noreply@feedtracks.com to contacts
- Request new magic link
- Try Google OAuth instead
Magic link expired
Cause: Link valid for 15 minutes only
Solutions:
- Request a new magic link
- Use the new link within 15 minutes
- If repeatedly expiring, check system clock is correct
Google OAuth error
Cause: Google account issues or browser blocking
Solutions:
- Ensure popup blockers are disabled
- Try incognito/private browsing mode
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Use different browser
- Check Google account is active (not suspended)
“Email already in use”
Cause: Account already exists with that email
Solutions:
- Use magic link to login instead
- If you forgot you had an account, request password reset
- Check if you used Google OAuth previously
- Contact support if unable to access existing account
Guest data not migrating
Cause: Browser cleared cookies before signup
Solutions:
- If just signed up, data should migrate automatically
- Check if you used same browser/device as guest
- Contact support with guest comment examples
- We can manually migrate data with proof of ownership
