Common Questions
Everything you need to know about public sharing
How secure is password protection?
Very secure. We use PBKDF2-SHA256 with 100,000 iterations - the same encryption standard used by banks. Passwords are never stored in plain text and can't be recovered if forgotten.
Does the link change when I update password or settings?
No! The shareable link stays the same regardless of password changes, expiration updates, or download permission toggles. This means you can update security settings without resending links to everyone.
Can recipients download the audio?
You control this. Toggle download permissions when setting up public sharing. If disabled, recipients can only stream in their browser. If enabled, they can save files locally. Change this anytime without updating the link.
What happens when a link expires?
After the expiration date, anyone trying to access the link sees "This link has expired." You can extend the expiration or remove it entirely to re-enable access. The link URL itself doesn't change.
Can I see who accessed my shared content?
Analytics for public shares are available on Pro plans. See view counts, geographic distribution, and access timestamps. Free plans show basic access logs without detailed analytics.
