Mix Text and Voice Comments
Some feedback is faster to type, some needs tone and inflection. Every timestamped comment can be text OR voice - use whatever makes sense for that specific note.
Choose text for quick notes, voice for complex explanations
Text Comments
Quick feedback like "too loud" or "love this part" types faster
Voice Comments
Complex mixing notes or emotional direction works better spoken
Switch between text and voice for each comment based on what's clearest

"Before Feedtracks, clients would send me emails like 'around the second chorus' and I'd spend 10 minutes finding what they meant. Now they click once on the waveform and I see exactly what needs fixing. Cut revision time in half."
Who Uses Timestamped Comments?
Real scenarios from audio professionals
For Producers
"Give detailed mix notes at exact moments without confusion"
"At 1:23, the kick is getting lost. Boost around 60Hz and sidechain the bass to duck when kick hits."
For Artists
"Communicate creative vision at specific moments"
"This section at 2:45 feels too aggressive. Can we soften the vocals and add more reverb to make it dreamier?"
For Engineers
"Track issues and fixes with surgical precision"
"At 0:54, there's a click in the vocal. Looks like a bad edit. I'll fix it and upload v2."
Common Questions
Everything you need to know about timestamped comments
Is this harder than just emailing feedback?
Actually easier. Click the waveform where you want to comment, type or record your feedback, and post. No more typing "around 2:15 I think" and hoping they find the right spot. Your team jumps directly to the exact moment you mean.
What if I have 50 comments? Won't it be messy?
Nope - that's the beauty of timestamps. Each comment stays pinned to its exact moment on the waveform. Mark comments as "resolved" when addressed and toggle to hide them. Only active feedback stays visible.
How precise are the timestamps?
Millisecond precision. When you click the waveform, the comment is anchored to that exact moment. If you click at 2:15.347, that's exactly where the comment lives. Click it later and you jump to 2:15.347.
Can I edit comments after posting?
Yes! Click the three-dot menu on any comment you authored and select "Edit". The timestamp stays the same - only the comment text or audio changes. You can also delete comments entirely if needed.
How do @mentions work?
Type @ while writing a comment and an autocomplete menu appears with collaborators who have access to the track. Select someone and they get both an email and in-app notification. Click the notification and they jump straight to that timestamp.
Is there a limit on comments per track?
No limit on all plans. Add as many timestamped comments as you need to communicate your vision. Comments don't count toward storage quotas either - only audio files do.
